      Performance Gain: 12-20hp, 12-16ft-lb Photos shown with optional carbon engine cover. The F87 M2 Competition intake system is designed to to allow the turbos to work more efficiently. By replacing the stock airbox system with our Patented Venturi filter housings and smoothly curved tubes, the airflow to the turbos is more laminar thus they can spool with less drag. Since the M2 Competition does not have air openings behind the grills, we also added sealed ducts to ensure that the intake temperatures stay as low as possible. The combination of our Venturi housings, organically shaped tubes and sealed ducts result in an optimised intake which sets a benchmark for this platform. The Eventuri Difference The M2 Competition Eventuri system uses our Patented Carbon Fibre Housings with our Gen 2 bespoke filters, which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the turbo.

Presenting the perfect addition to our F90 M5 intake system to optimise the flow path all the way to the turbos. Our carbon inlets have a larger volume than the stock inlets by maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbos. The stock inlets narrow down immediately after the connection to the intake which creates a restriction especially at higher boost levels. We have alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible allowing the turbos to reach peak boost sooner. During development we also tested inlets with larger openings and redesigned the intake to have an oversized connection to the inlets. However, tests showed no further benefit and so we proceeded with this version, which allows our current intake to be used without any modification while producing the best performance gains.

      Performance Gain: 13-18hp, 12-16ft-lb (Stock Tune)Turbo Inlet Area Increased up to 160%Filtration Area Increased up to 40% Presenting an intake which truly sets a benchmark for the BMW G8X M3/M4 platform. We have carried out intensive R&D to develop an intake which not only improves on the stock M3/M4 but also is future proof in its capacity to cater for high powered builds well in excess of 1000hp. Our system is a complete redesign from the airboxes to the turbo inlets with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing the flow rate and keeping inlet temperatures low. We have maximised the usage of the available space to employ 2 custom made filters with a 40% larger filtration area than stock. These are used in our Patented Venturi housings to smoothly funnel the air to the turbo inlets. The inlets themselves are up to 160% larger in cross sectional area than stock and are designed with an advanced dimpled inner surface to reduce frictional losses between the flow and the wall boundary. By allowing a “cushion” of air at the wall surface, airflow is able to move through the inlets at higher flow rates with reduced pressure loss. This allows the turbos to draw air with less resistance and therefore reduce the wastegate duty cycle resulting in higher overall performance. Heat and Volume are the main considerations when designing an intake for turbocharged engines. In the Z4, the intake system is located next to the exhaust manifold which rapidly heat soaks the engine bay. High temperatures are detrimental for engine performance as the turbo would have to build boost with heated, less dense air and so the only way to ensure IAT’s are kept to a minimum is for a fully sealed intake. This however, results in a restriction with only one stock air feed to draw air in from. During development we noticed an additional opening into the wheel arch area and took advantage of this by adding a secondary feed to our airbox. Furthermore our sealed airbox also has a heat shield with gold reflective to minimise the radiative heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. In order to maximise volume we made the airbox as large as possible with a recess for potential strut braces. The stock convoluted intake tube is replaced with a smooth carbon tube which is also larger in internal volume with a starting internal diameter of 111mm (4.4″) smoothly tapering down to match the turbo inlet. Finally we use a custom made high-flow dry filter which is ISO tested for filtration performance and has a larger filtration area than the stock filter.

      Acceleration Time : 60-130mph Reduced By 0.2 secondsDyno Data : Coming Soon The X3M/X4M intake setup from BMW although awkard at first sight, is a very well designed system in the given space available. The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a complete redesign we focused on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We have developed replacement drop in filters made from non-woven mesh which have a much higher flow rate as compared to the stock paper filters. To help reduce inlet air temperatures and force air into the airbox we designed large front scoops which sit behind the grills. The carbon scoops channel air into the ducts and effectively effectively de-restrict the inlet side of the airbox. The final piece is the carbon airbox lid which although doesn’t add to the performance, it does allow for a more audible induction sound and gives the engine bay a much needed aesthetic improvement.

Now in the updated V2 design, it features sealed filter housings to maintain a more steady IAT, even while stationary. The new shrouds which seal the housings, coupled with our scoop and shield combination ensures unrestricted airflow whilst maintaining low IATs through cold air saturation. Our large front air scoops transfer ambient air directly into the intake area thus ensuring the engine doesn’t suffer from heat soak. In addition, our gold heat-reflective lined shields have integrated flow guides which direct the ambient air from the scoops into the filters. We have also managed to increase the inlet tube cross-sectional area by over 30% compared to the stock intake as it feeds through the openings in the strut braces.
