Fitment: Mercedes A35 AMG, CLA35 AMG, A250, CLA250Performance Increase : 15-20hp, 15-18ft-lb The Mercedes A35 AMG Eventuri intake has been developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path whilst maintaining low inlet temperatures. Reducing heat soak and increasing internal volume are the main considerations when designing an intake for turbocharged engines. In the A35, the intake system is in close proximity to the exhaust manifold which rapidly heat soaks the engine bay. High temperatures are detrimental for engine performance as the turbo would have to build boost with heated, less dense air and so the only way to ensure IAT’s are kept to a minimum is for a fully sealed intake. In order to reduce the restriction from a sealed intake we have increased the volume of the airbox by relocating the ECU and also allowing an opening in the airbox on the cold side which is away from the direct heat of the manifold. The carbon inlet tube is larger in internal volume with a starting internal diameter of 111mm (4.4″) smoothly tapering down to match the turbo inlet pipe. Finally we use a custom made high-flow dry filter which is ISO tested for filtration performance and has a larger filtration area than the stock filter.

Performance Increase : 15-18hp, 12-16ft-lb Fitment: W177 A45 and A45S, C118 CLA45 and CLA45S : M139 Engine The Mercedes M139 intake for the A45 and CLA45 has been developed to allow the turbo a smoother route for airflow to be drawn from. By redesigning the system to allow for a much more direct path, the turbo is able to generate boost with less drag and therefore reach target boost pressure sooner in the RPM range. This intake system has been developed to offer the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest intake temperatures possible to produce a net performance gain. The de-restricted flow path also allows for turbo spool to be heard more clearly adding to the dynamics of the overall driving experience. The Eventuri Difference The Mercedes M139 Eventuri system uses our Patented Carbon fiber Housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the turbo.

Our design brief consisted of 3 main objectives: 1) Increased flow rate. 2) Low intake temperatures. 3) Smooth airflow. The first objective was met by utilising all of the limited space available in the GLC63S engine bay resulting in a 39% higher flow rate over the stock system. The second objective was met by designing a fully sealed system. The GLC63S engine bay reaches high temperatures with heat sources like the turbos in close proximity to the intake so it is crucial that the intake remains sealed. The final objective was met by designing an organically shaped system with custom rounded panel filters to ensure the airflow path contained no sharp corners and therefore allowed for the flow to remain laminar. With smooth transitions from the filters to the turbo inlets, our intake minimises the formation of turbulence and therefore the turbos are able to operate more efficiently. With all 3 objectives met, our W205 C63S intake system delivers on all fronts and allows for the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This results in an improved throttle response and genuine power gains which increase with higher states of tune.

It features our patented Venturi housings which allow for the smoothest possible airflow to the turbo inlets. The housings encase our bespoke filters which help to shape the airflow and maintain laminar conditions. They have also been maximised in internal volume to reduce restrictions and in doing so we have also redesigned the OEM central cover as it fouls on the significantly larger system. Finally, intake air temperatures are kept steady with the ducts which seal to the filter housings. The AMG GTR intake system has been independently tested by World leading Mercedes tuning company – RENNtech and has been proven to give improved performance in both stock and tuned engines. Each system comes complete with the carbon central cover.
