First original Garrett manufactured upgrade turbocharger for all EA888 engines of the 3rd generation.
As Stage 2 for maximum driving pleasure up to 600 HP and 650 Nm.
Designed for extreme performance, this upgrade turbocharger is actually neither a upgrade- nor a hybrid turbocharger. All components of the turbocharger are of extremely high quality and made of the finest materials. In addition to the compressor housing made especially for this turbocharger, an exhaust housing made of high-strength stainless steel with a larger exhaust flow rate is used. Underneath the housings, the latest technology comes to the fore. For example, the highlight is an extremely high quality reverse spinning Garrett G25-660 hull assembly with a MAR-M exhaust gas wheel.
The compressor housing was designed so that most of the tuning items available in the accessories can be used. For example, the Turbosmart electric blow off valves will fit the turbocharger without modification. The intake port in front of the compressor impeller is perfectly matched to the turbocharger and comes with a matching inlet.
The exhaust housing has an increased exhaust flow and is specially made for the Garrett hull assembly. The material chosen here is a 1050 °C stainless steel. The ductwork is adapted to the performance and flow-optimized. Another advantage: all downpipes fit at the outlet of the exhaust housing.

Original Garret Hull Assembly/Supercore
Hull assembly (CHRA) refers to the center section of a turbocharger, with the two vanes (fresh air wheel and exhaust wheel), which also contains the support. When ball-bearing turbochargers suffer bearing damage, it is only possible to replace the complete trunk assembly. Supercore is the name given to the fuselage assembly with compressor housing.

The Garrett GT2860RS has an optimized compressor side that works very efficiently even at low supercharger speeds and delivers high boost pressures and air mass. This results in a very wide compressor map and together a wide usable RPM band.
Our recommendation for 1.8T engines where a good torque with power above 300HP is desired. With the Inconel turbine wheel, this supercharger is suitable for exhaust gas temperatures up to 1000 degrees Celsius at the turbine inlet.

The high flow machining also prevents surging.
Faster response and approx. 10% more air flow at the same boost pressure!
Turbochargers of the GTX series are always delivered without exhaust side, because these can be easily taken over from the older GT series.
