ARP 5/16 "rod bolts with 38,1mm in length.
Universally applicable for all H-Beam conrods .
ARP custom age 625 + have been developed for the highest requirements and provide optimum safety.
At high engine speed, it arrives at the Aufwertsbewegung the piston to high tensile forces acting on the connecting rod according to Kurbelwellenhub more or less.
To avoid this, a screw is recommended Pleulschraube tear as it has a tensile strength of 260-280 PSI, compared to having only a 2000 ARP Zugfestigkit of 220 PSI
The rod bolts are heat treated and rolled, giving them up to 10 times higher fatigue strength.
Especially for tuned engines highly recommended!

High strength ARP bolt made of molybdenum steel for mounting the flywheel to the crankshaft. Suitable for BMW S14 engines.
Especially with tuned engines essential, because much higher torques must be transmitted to the crankshaft!

All ARP screws can be reused.
These screws are longer than standard screws. Please note during installation!
Tightening sequence:
1) Apply Loctite 242 (blue / medium strength) to the threads
2) Apply ARP Ultra torque Paste under the screw head
3) Tighten screws only hand-tight
4) Then crosswise to 95 Nm -
Digital High End Dial Indicator from ARP for measuring the extension of expansion screws.
When fitting connecting rod bolts, the tightening torque is only of secondary importance. Much more important is the extension of the screw.
This stretch can be measured accurately with the ARP dial gauge.
ARP has taken accuracy to the next level with the introduction of a digital stretch gauge that measures to the ten-thousandth (0.0001-inch).
Accurate readings are made by opposing ball and pin probes centered on the bolt. A uniquely designed aluminum handle facilitates operation.
ALWAYS fit and tighten connecting rod bolts with sufficient ARP Ultra Torque Paste!

ARP strech gauge for a perfect conrod bolts assembly. If you want to torque your conrod bolts in a professional way you have to measure the strech and not the torque. This ARP gauge is individually adjustable to measure each kind of conrod bolts. Always use ARP ultra torque grease for conrod assembly.
